I began this book a couple of days ago and quickly finished it up this morning before my children woke up. I was intrigued by the cover because it is just beautiful; I was also really interested in this book because it is a memoir, and I love memoirs!

If you read my post yesterday, you’d know that I was a bit stressed out. Thanks to all of your advice, I decided to give myself some grace. I let some things go, and instead I dove into this book and finished it up!⠀ REVIEW
Rating: 🌟🌟🌟 - Little known fact about me: I am fascinated by medicine. It started out in high school when I took an anatomy class with the best teacher I had in high school. I love reading and hearing about weird medical stuff, so I knew I would enjoy this book. BOOK REVIEW
Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 I know we’ve all seen this book floating around, so I’m just going to throw in how much I enjoyed this book. I found many similarities with Station Eleven in theme and tone. The way that this book revealed character and also considered how people would respond during a situation like this was fantastic. I honestly couldn’t put it down while I was reading it, and I think I finished it in just over a day. BOOK REVIEW
Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 - I am sure you have seen this wonderful book floating around, so now I am going to throw in my little two cents. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this slight yet impactful novel; I found it to be an interesting deep dive into character and the thoughts that people have near the end of their lives and the way that childhood can impact a person's entire life.⠀ Review: Freefall; Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
- Freefall was sent to me by @harperbooks and @jenmurfee (#partner), and I am so pleased to have had the opportunity to read it. This suspenseful thriller begins when a mother learns her daughter was in a plane crash, but readers quickly realize that her daughter did not die. Instead, she is making her way down a mountain, running from a man whom she believes will kill her. Review: Late in the Day by Tessa Hadley
Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 - Imagine that your best friend loses her husband, who is also your husband’s best friend. What happens? How do you support your friend? How does your friend respond? All of these questions come to play in Tessa Hadley’s book Late in the Day, which I read thanks to @harperbooks sending me a free review copy! (#partner) Last year I read all the Man Booker Prize shortlist. This year I was a bit busier, so I didn’t get the chance; this meant I didn’t know much about this winner, but I knew I would love it. @graywolfpress was kind enough to send me a copy (#partner), so I quickly dove in and loved this novel.
Can you believe that I had never read an Anne Tyler book until now? For some reason, I had never made it a priority, but when Clock Dance came out, I reached out to @stephaniereads and asked her which Tyler I should start with; she recommended A Spool Of Blue Thread, so I picked it up!
This may be the only “Christmas book” I will read this year. I don’t often read sappy stuff, see my post from yesterday, but they can be fun from time to time. For me, this book was a sweet refresh from some of the heavier books I’ve been reading recently, but it’s not really one I would pick up all the time.
