Do you enjoy a simple, quiet novel that in the end makes you think about the meaning of life and the reasons for us being here? If so, I think you will enjoy The New Inheritors by Kent Wascom. This novel takes place in the early 1900s when Isaac eventually meets Kemper. Isaac’s childhood is a little messed up, but this is not dwelt upon. Instead, Isaac somehow comes out of his struggles and is adopted by a loving family in the south.

What do you get when you mix a free spirited responsible teen, her brilliant and rebellious younger sister, a boy way out of his element in the Boulder wilderness, and a crazy camping adventure? An incredible adventure.
How many essay collections do you pick up? I don’t read a ton (though probably more than average), but when I find an essay collection that has to do with books and reading I make sure to pick it up. When I saw that Francine Prose was writing another collection, I knew I had to read it.
